McLaren Technology Group announced that Zak Brown has accepted the position of Executive Director.

In this senior role, he will be a significant part of a restructuring programme. Its aim is to align the Group’s commercial and strategic operations relating to achieving success in Formula 1.

Brown and Chief Operating Officer Jonathan Neale will report directly to McLaren Technology Group’s Executive Committee. They will jointly lead the businesses. This is part of the first step in the Group’s transition to a new and strengthened organisational structure. The process of recruiting a new Group Chief Executive Officer will continue.

Zak Brown is an American businessman and former professional racing driver. He founded Just Marketing International (JMI) in 1995. Now it is the world’s largest motorsport marketing agency. The agency was acquired in 2013 by CSM Sport & Entertainment, a division of Chime Communications plc. Brown became Group Chief Business Development Officer.
