The weather at the Catalunya circuit took a turn for the worse since last night and this morning it is snowing. The F1 teams are at the Spanish venue for their first pre-season test.
Temperatures have been low since the beginning of the test. There was even rain. But the current conditions are too bad and there would probably be very little – if any – running.
Teams and the Catalunya organisers are taking everything with a sense of humour. Renault declared they are ready to make a snowman. Sauber and Marcus Ericsson pointed out the weather “feels like home” which means Switzerland and Sweden.

Daniel Ricciardo was fastest on Day 1 while Sebastian Vettel gave the best time on Day 2 of the test. Practice concludes tomorrow. There was a suggestion the test to continue for one additional day (on Friday) but one of the teams did not agree. The second F1 pre-season test is next week from March 6th until 9th.
