The fourth stage of Rally Finland turned out to be crucial in Friday morning’s itinerary of the 9th 2017 WRC round. The Jukojärvi rocks caught out both Sebastien Ogier and Ott Tanak, but the latter was able to continue. The stage features different types of road, demanding quick adjustment from flat-out driving to skilful passing between rocks and trees.
Ogier was just a kilometre from the end of the stage when he landed heavily after a jump
His Ford Fiesta WRC went into the trees and ended his day. M-Sport announced his suspension was broken. The team will aim to Rally2 with the four-time world champion for the rest of the weekend.

Jukojärvi also took out of contention Hyundai’s Hayden Paddon. His right rear wheel was too badly damaged after a crash for him to continue.
It’s a fine line in Finland, ran bit wide and unfortunately hit a rock. Broken suspension = out for day, big shame when all going well. pic.twitter.com/BEvbnP9ehV
