Thierry Neuville was fastest in Rally Poland’s shakedown. The Hyundai driver’s time was 0.2sec better than Ott Tanak’s. Third was Neuville’s teammate Hayden Paddon. Crews fought a lot of mud during the shakedown – the overnight’s rain turned the stage into wet dirt.
“The car felt good. We didn’t make any changes. Just worked a bit on the ride height because the roads were getting very destroyed. Other than that, I felt comfortable from the beginning”, Thierry Neuville told wrc.com.
“The rain should be a benefit for me because the road will be wet and there will be less sweeping. On the other hand, it makes it more tricky. You can easily go off by being surprised by the loss of grip.”
Neuville posted the best time on his third run, which was last for him.
