The pinnacle of the endurance discipline, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship and always attracts an enviable line-up of drivers and manufacturers. Fans flock to the track, including a few famous faces! Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter took part in the Aicha des Gazelles rally this year and is delighted at the prospect of attending the 24 Hours of Le Mans. “I’ve never been. This is a first for me! I’m really looking forward to seeing such a famous event. I love the Porsches and I think this race is such a feat. Congratulations in advance to the drivers.”

Alain Fabien Delon’s father Alain was the starter of the 1996 24 Hours of Le Mans. Delon junior is a huge fan of the race too. “As a motor racing fan, I’m honoured to be able to attend the race”, he said. “My father had a penchant for Ferrari while my mother was more of a Porsche fan. And I got my love of cars from them. I have a lot of respect for the drivers and technical teams who do a remarkable job.”

International sports star Tony Parker will be taking time out from basketball to support Idec Sport at Le Mans.

Well-known French television personality Arnaud Ducret will be taking a break from the set to watch as the 60 cars take centre stage.
