Kimi Raikkonen won the US Grand prix, 18th round of the 2018 Formula 1 World Championship. That was his first victory for the Finnish Ferrari driver for 113 races.
Raikkonen took the lead at the start after successfully passing Lewis Hamilton who was on pole position. He had a strategy with one stop and controlled the whole race without many problems.

Second at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin was Max Verstappen. He was 18th at the start after the suspension failure in Saturday’s qualifying and a changed gearbox. The Red Bull driver was on a mission and started it from the very beginning. After reaching the second place he managed to defend it when Hamilton attacked him in the penultimate lap.
The British Mercedes driver tried to get second place and more points in his championship battle with Sebastian Vettel. He had a strategy with two pit stops but the tyres did not last as long as expected.
Meanwhile, Vettel had an incident with Daniel Ricciardo at the very beginning of the race. He spun and went back in the pack. The stewards decided to take no further action. After that the German had to get back on the pace. He managed to go to the fifth position and at the very end to pass Valtteri Bottas for fourth.
