Lewis Hamilton won the Russian Grand prix after his Mercedes team told Valtteri Bottas to let him through on the circuit. There was some explanation tyre blisters.

But when Bottas asked at the end of the race if he and Hamilton will keep their positions, the answer was to keep the order

Mercedes motorsport director Toto Wolff called the Finn on the radio and told him that the day was difficult both for him and the team. He also added all will be discussed later.

Sebastian Vettel was third at the chequered flag. He tried to fight the Mercedes drivers but did not have enough speed. Vettel had a great battle with Hamilton as he was in front of the Englishman after their pitstops. Lewis did not understand how that happened and attacked his rival right away. His second attempt was successful and after that came the team orders from the Mercedes pitwall.

The Red Bull drivers made a great race. Max Verstappen led for a big part of it after thunderous first laps. In the end, he and Daniel Ricciardo were right behind the Ferraris.
