Jaguar Land Rover Classic has introduced a new infotainment system to its growing range of genuine parts and accessories. This way the company brings modern functionality to classic vehicles while maintaining the authentic look. Keeping the classic style happens through a similarly classic head unit.
The single DIN-sized Classic Infotainment System units suits most classic vehicles running on negative earth electrics. It incorporates customisable satellite navigation in up to 32 languages as well as smartphone integration. There’s also Bluetooth connectivity and dual DAB/DAB+ digital radio, as well as FM and AM analog reception.
For Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles there will be four distinct versions of the system on offer. The choice for Jaguars will be black or chrome faceplate finishes. Meanwhile, the choice for Land Rovers will be between black or silver aluminum.
The system includes a Europe-wide route navigation system. Its display can be as 2D or 3D maps, or as turn arrow instructions. It also includes TMC traffic alerts. The control is through a 3.5-inch high-resolution touchscreen which is between traditional rotary controls and buttons.
Other key features of the system include:
- Telephone functionality, including phonebook transfer via Bluetooth, supports up to four devices, with 1250 contacts per device
- Internal microphone
- System languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian
- There also are up to 32 languages available for the navigation function
All versions of the Jaguar Land Rover Classic Infotainment System are available to purchase from 7 September 2018 at www.jaguarclassicparts.com, priced from £1,200 (including VAT).
