Ross Brawn said that there are encouraging signs for Michael Schumacher. The German continues his recovery from serious head injuries at the end of 2013. The former Ferrari technical director and Mercedes team boss worked with Schumacher during his biggest success in F1 with Benetton and Ferrari.

The Seven-times World Champion sustained serious head injuries when he suffered a skiing accident in December 2013. And no official update has been provided since he was released from Lausanne hospital in September 2014.

“The family have chosen to conduct Michael’s convalescence in private and I must respect that. – There are encouraging signs and we are all praying every day that we see more of them. So it is difficult for me to say very much and respect the family’s privacy, Brawn told BBC Sport

– All I would say is there is a lot of speculation about Michael’s condition. Most of it is wrong. And we just pray and hope every day that we continue to see some progress. And that one day we can see Michael out and about and recovered from his terrible injuries.”

Brawn also denied the rumors that he will join new Formula 1 owners Liberty Media. He said he is just helping them with consulting for the moment. According to the reports in the German media, the former team boss has agreed to accept a role to work on the sporting side of Formula 1. As a liaison between teams and the FIA.

“Liberty have not got far enough down the road to make any commitments yet, Brawn told. – I’m doing a little consulting to help them better understand F1 but that’s all.”
