Max Verstappen was fastest in the first Friday free practice for the Brazilian Grand prix at the Interlagos circuit. The Red Bull driver as most of the rest of the field used for the bigger part of the session the super soft tyres. Pirelli has given the teams medium, soft and super soft compounds for the weekend in Brazil.

Sebastian Vettel gave the second best time while Lewis Hamilton was third fastest. The times of the first three drivers were in only 0.096 sec.
Daniel Ricciardo, Kimi Raikkonen and Valtteri Bottas took the places from fourth to sixth. Romain Grosjean, Kevin Magnussen, Charles Leclerc and Esteban Ocon rounded off the top 10.
Mercedes investigated an oil leak in Bottas’ car but found nothing disturbing.
There were no serious incidents during the session.
