Kris Meeke took the first victory for Citroen and the new C3 WRC in 2017. He and co-driver Paul Nagle won Rally Mexico, third round of this year’s championship.
Meeke won the penultimate stage of the race and was eighth in the powerstage. That was enough for the win. Kris finished with 13.8sec advantage in front of Sebastien Ogier (M-Sport).
Citroen is the third team to take a win in as many rallies. This success means a lot for the French team after a really bad start of the season. Meeke brings back confidence to Citroen as he led the event virtually from start to finish. The Mexico win is his fourth WRC triumph.

Meeke almost caused a heart attack to himself and the entire Citroen team when he went off the road in the last stage
The Northern Irishman reacted well and maneuvered his way between cars but he was clearly in shock at the finish point. Nagle had to help him climb on the C3 WRC’s roof to celebrate the win.
Thierry Neuville was fastest in the powerstage. The Hyundai driver finished third in the rally.

Ott Tanak was fourth, followed by Hayden Paddon, Jari-Matti Latvala, Juho Hanninen, Dani Sordo, etc. Pontus Tidemand (Skoda) won in WRC2.
