Thierry Neuville was fastest in ADAC Rallye Deutschland’s shakedown. The Hyundai driver was almost a second faster than Andres Mikkelsen (Citroen C3 WRC). Sebastien Ogier was third – 1.2sec behind the Belgian driver. The Frenchman has for the Germany the third 2017 version of his Ford Fiesta WRC. Until now he has won every rally he started with a new car in 2017.
Ogier made a mistake in his first run, missing a hairpin. Then he was fastest in the second run.
The 4.09km Eiweiler stage was mostly dry. Neuville explained that he made a couple of changes for the final runs.
“The road became dirty. It was a particular part of the stage in the forest which was very dirty. But the rest was OK,” headded, quoted by wrc.com.
