Sebastian Vettel won a dramatic British Grand prix. Local hero Lewis Hamilton had a bad start from pole position and let Vettel and Bottas past him. Kimi Raikkonen also was on his way passing the Englishman but hit him and Hamilton spun. Then he had a courageous race and managed to get back to the podium.

Right after the final Hamilton did not wait for the usual short interviews with the first three drivers. Martin Brundle still got to him on the podium but it was not very professional especially when most of the fans in the grandstands were his fans.
Raikkonen received a 10-seconds penalty for the incident with Hamilton. He took the last place on the podium.
Bottas was fourth, managing to defend his position from Daniel Ricciardo who was the only Red Bull at the chequered flag. Max Verstappen retired a few laps before the finish.
There were a couple of safety cars during the race at Silverstone. The first one was because of Marcus Ericsson’s crash. The Swede lost his Sauber at the end of the start-finish straight and had a heavy impact in the tyre barrier.

Almost right after the race was restarted there was another accident. Romain Grosjean and Carlos Sainz crashed and their incident went to the stewards for investigation after the race.
