There were numerous incidents during the practice session due to the dirty asphalt. Fortunately, there were no serious consequences. Some of the heavier incidents were two spins of Marcus Ericsson and one of Brendon Hartley at the very end of the session. Many of the other drivers locked wheels or went of the circuit. None went into the barriers but complaining of poor grip was common.
