Lewis Hamilton was fastest in the third and last free practice for the Russian Grand prix. Valtteri Bottas made it a 1-2 for the Mercedes team while their Ferrari rivals Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen were third and fourth.
Hamilton was easily fastest through the whole session. He made a couple of mistakes as most of the other drivers but they were not dramatic for his program. Vettel had a lot more problems. There were moments when the German driver had difficulties to keep his car on the track. The strangest incident happened at the very end of the practice. Vettel reached the end of the pitlane when the light became red and he had to stop immediately. Raikkonen tried to get out of the box but only his car’s nose was outside when a message on the radio told him to stop.

Red Bull also had some problems in FP3. Max Verstappen was especially unstable in his first stint. He soon got back to the pits but later managed to find a better balance.
There were some problems with traffic during the session as well as a couple of offs.
