The third free practice was the last chance for the F1 teams to prepare for qualifying and the race on Sunday. Hypersoft was the most preferred tyre. There were a couple of incidents, fortunately without grave consequences. Valtteri Bottas went out at Saint Devote. He touched the barriers while trying to get back on the track but his Mercedes was not heavily damaged.
The other similar incident was with Carlos Sainz until Verstappen crashed his car on the exit of the Swimming pool. Ricciardo passed him with a 0.001sec better time after the session’s restart.
