This weekend, the 2017-2018 FIA Formula E Championship concludes in New York. This final round will have particular meaning as the most successful team in the history of the 100% electric category, Renault e.dams will compete in its final two ePrix. Sébastien Buemi and Nicolas Prost are determined to finish this adventure in style.
Five years after having fully assumed its role as a pioneer in electric mobility as the first major technical partner entered in the discipline, Renault is preparing to cede its place to its Alliance partner Nissan.
For this tenth meeting of season 4, the field heads to New York for two races this weekend. Located in the heart of Brooklyn’s newly renovated neighbourhoods, the Red Hook circuit features 14 corners, combining technical and high-speed sectors, with Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty in the background.

Absent a year ago, Sébastien Buemi will rely on his adaptation skills to take stock of the North American track. Still in contention to become the only driver to finish in the top three of the championship every season, the Swiss racer also knows he can count on all the expertise of the team that owns the New York lap record.
In parallel, Nicolas Prost can make the most of his experience after scoring points in both races last year. As he bids farewell to a discipline in which he made history in claiming the first-ever pole position, the French driver will be all the more motivated to find his way back into the top ten.
Members of the Renault e.dams team since the first Beijing ePrix in September 2014, both drivers will be aiming to finish their adventure in style and take Renault e.dams to the summit one last time
Sébastien Buemi: “I’m thrilled to be in New York for this round that I missed last year. I will get a chance to discover this interesting layout located in a fantastic setting. This weekend, a page turns with the final race for Renault and the last for Nico with the team. We will give it our all to finish in style. The goal is clear: we want to fight for the victory.”
Nicolas Prost: “I‘ve been with Renault since the beginning of their Formula E adventure. I have participated in every race alongside them and this weekend will bring an end to what has been four fantastic years. Even though we wanted to have a better season this year, we have enjoyed tremendous success with three team’s titles, my three wins and three pole positions. Because we have won so much together I really want to finish on a high!”
