A furious Max Verstappen confronted physically Esteban Ocon after the Brazilian Grand prix. The Force India driver crashed into his Red Bull during the race while Verstappen was leading. He spun and lost the race.
Max called Ocon “an idiot”. He found him at the FIA scales and confronted him on what happened, pushing him repeatedly. The Dutch’s behaviour caused the officials around to step in. Ocon called on FIA to take measures against Verstappen.
Meanwhile, Red Bull’s team principal Christian Horner told Sky Sports F1 that Ocon was lucky to get away only with a push.
“I think Max has been pretty restrained to be honest with you. It has cost him a grand prix victory. He has driven his heart out with a damaged car. Esteban was lucky to get away with a push, to be honest with you. Emotions are running high. I told him, get yourself under control on the cool down lap because he has lost a victory though no fault of his own today and it is hugely frustrating for him and the team”, Horner said.
