The Singapore city circuit has 23 corners – more than any other track.
Andrew Shovlin – Mercedes Chief Race Engineer comments: „The track is demanding for the tires with so many corners. It`s about balancing the whole lap“.
For Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg Singapore is very special event
This will be his 200th Grand Prix. Rosberg said: „It is a challenge because having all this lighting, it does make it more difficult visibility-wise.”
Nico Rosberg picked up his first Driver of the Day award after the Italian Grand Prix after he took his seventh victory of the 2016 Formula 1 season.
Rosberg won the opening four races of the year, but fell short of being voted as the Driver of the Day on each of those occasions.
Romain Grosjean’s heroics for Haas won him the opening two awards. Daniil Kvyat and Kevin Magnussen emerged victorious in China and Russia respectively.
The Driver of the Day award is new for 2016, giving fans a chance to have their say following a race weekend via the F1 website.
